Great first week

Great first week.  The boys worked hard and had a great showing at our SK scrimmage Saturday.

While at times playing a Division I school may be a mismatch it is better for us to keep the team in check and adapt our style of play to the situations that developed during Saturday's session.  Each day and practice we learn and improve upon our play to better the program.

Enjoy the day off and we will see the varsity team at NHS and JV at NPS at 2:30 for our 3pm srimmage with Woonsocket and Ponaganset.  Please make sure the boys bring $5 for pizza and soda/water after the game with the other teams.  They also need to bring in $3 for their team t-shirt which they will get on Saturday.

See the dates and times for the week on the NHS Soccer Webpage.  If you would like to see the game schedules you can look on www.riil.org for those dates, times, and directions.

See you Monday,

Welcome

Mr. Reis and I are eager to begin summer sessions and look forward to a successful fall season.  The JV soccer team will participate in 10-15 JV games and the schedule is yet to be determined.  The Varsity Team returns for Division II play and will have a 15 game schedule as well as 2 non-league games.

We are very eager to kick off the fall soccer season.  It is essential that all individuals make an effort to attend all practice sessions before the start of school.  I am trying to schedule both early morning and late evening practices to alleviate any potential problems.  Please make the attempt to switch any work schedules or obligations prior to the start of tryouts.  If any individual still has conflicting obligations I will discuss those with them on an individual basis.

Below you will see this summers soccer tryouts and workout sessions.   Please be aware of the dates highlighted in red.  This schedule will allow for a very smooth summer session with ample time for proper conditioning.  Make sure all forms are processed ahead of time in order to ensure that you can participate on the first day of tryouts.
Boys please make appropriate revisions to your work schedules to allow you to attend all of the summer sessions.  Don't wait to the last minute to discuss work conflicts with your boss.
The boys have been getting together informally on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9am at Christofaro Park and Olympic Physical Therapy Workout sessions occur on Thursdays behind NHS from 4-6 pm.
I hope you all are enjoying summer and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
